Patchwork Blue
The Patchwork Blue is a mix of handmade cement tiles measuring 20x20cm and 1.6cm thick. In 1 box are different patterns mixed together to form a cheerful patchwork, these pattern tiles are is suitable for wall and floor. The picture shows an indication of patterns you can expect in the mix. However, this may vary from box to box.
The cement Tile is available in various cheerful colours and contains a pattern. Cement tiles have lively colour nuances and a matt appearance. Please note that cement tiles are porous and always need to be impregnated.
Good to know
Cement tiles, also known as Portuguese tiles, are tiles that are produced using traditional methods. They are still handmade and pressed one by one in our factory today, just as it was done 100 years ago. Cement tiles have irregularities and lively colour nuances, and they can also vary slightly in colour from one another. This is inherent in this type of tile and should be considered normal. There are many possible styles, from classical to retro or modern. Cement tiles also go very well with other materials such as wood, steel and concrete.
Installation of cement tiles
Cement tiles require extra attention when installed and have their own instruction manual for this. At the time of purchase, we will send you a step-by-step plan with instructions and points of attention. We recommend that you read this manual carefully before laying the tiles. Or hire a good tiler who is familiar with this type of tiles.
Suitable for
Cement tiles can be used as floor and wall tiles and can be used both indoors and outdoors. For outside, the following applies: on a hard surface such as concrete, under a roof, protected from rain and sunshine. A hefty frost can cause cracks.
They are ideal tiles for the home such as for the kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room, veranda and toilet. But also in a business environment such as an office or catering establishment, Portuguese cement tiles are perfectly suited to their purpose.
Colours, patterns and sizes
Cement tiles come in many different sizes, colours and patterns. We also provide cement tiles with custom colours and patterns, completely tailored to your wishes. Each batch may have colour differences or irregularities. This is due to the production process and should be considered normal.
Ordering, delivery and shipment
These tiles are delivered per box. For help in calculating the required quantities, expert advice or a customised quote, we are happy to help you in one of our showrooms.
Orders can be delivered to your home via our carrier. They are placed firmly on a pallet and the risk of breakage is minimised. The costs for this are calculated based on the weight and volume and are included in the quote, if applicable.
There is also the possibility to collect the tiles from our warehouse in Breda or from our showroom in Utrecht. Collecting is only possible by appointment and when the tiles are in stock. Maintenance
Cement tiles are easy to maintain. Weekly mopping with an acid-free agent such as our own Mopping Soap. This also gives the surface extra protection.
Beware of acids, which can cause unsightly stains or discolourations that are difficult to remove later. As soon as you spill something, clean it off with water and do not leave it on the tiles. This also applies to grease and other liquids.
You can remove grease stains, paint or heavy soiling with one of our special cleaning products.
