Zellige Naturel Triangle

Zellige Naturel Triangle

Note: The Naturel tile is unglazed and therefore sensitive to dirt and moisture. You can impregnate the tile to close it, read all about it in our blog.

The Zellige Naturel Triangle is a handmade wall tile of 10x8.5 cm and 1 cm thick and comes from one of our factories in Fez, Morocco. The unglazed surface is matt and vivid and has beautiful color nuances. Because every tile in the box is slightly different, a vivid result is created. Although the tile looks rustic, it also fits perfectly in a modern interior.

Good to know
Zelliges (pronounced "zulliezjes") are handmade wall tiles from Morocco. They are baked in a special way and later cut diagonally so that they can be put together very tightly. This labor-intensive work gives the tile its own looks and character.

The clay used for the production of Zelliges can only be found in Fez, Morocco.

This clay contains lime pits that can regularly be found on the surface of the tile. This also applies to small irregularities in thickness in the surface. This is characteristic of this type of tile and should be considered normal.

Zelliges can only be used as wall tiles. If you are looking for this kind of tiles for your floor, take a look at our Plattas and Bejmat tiles.

These Natural tiles have no glaze layer and therefore dirt and moisture can penetrate. This will give a lived look to the tile over time. Do not place the tile in wet areas or outdoors. If you want to protect the tile a little more against dirt and moisture then treat the tile with one of our impregnation products.

Installing Zelliges
Moroccan tiles need extra care when installing them and have their own instruction manual. Upon purchase, you will receive a step-by-step plan with instructions and points of attention. We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installing the tiles. Or hire a good tiler who is familiar with this type of tile.

Suitable for

Colors and sizes
Zelliges come in many different colors. Each batch has a small color difference. The tiles in 1 box also have color differences and irregularities, this has to do with the production process and should be considered normal. Zelliges are cut by hand to different sizes and shapes.
