who is tanja

Who is Tanja?

Tanja is a well-known DIY stylist who you may have seen on television or in a magazine. For example, on Eigen huis & Tuin, or in Karwei and VT Wonen. And also with Designtegels.
Tanja is a very creative person with a great passion for interiors and DIY projects. She brings these two passions together on her blog. She shows you that giving your own interior a makeover yourself doesn’t have to be difficult at all. If you’re looking for inspiration to get started, Tanja’s blog is a real source of inspiration!
On Tanja’s blog, you can see that she tackles every corner of her home herself. She also got to work in her kitchen. To give her kitchen a unique and characterful look, she chose to stick our Zelliges to the splashback. A fun project to consider and carry out!

choice overload

Choice overload: so many tiles to choose from!

Tiling your kitchen splashback is a great idea. But where do you start when choosing a tile? A little research will take you a long way. Tanja visited our showroom for this reason. Seeing our tiles in person can make your choice easier.

Our extensive range did secretly cause Tanja a little choice overload. Will you go for a coloured tile? Which shape will you choose? Will you lay the tiles in a pattern? And what kind of pattern will you choose? We’re happy to help you make your choice in one of our showrooms. We can also tell you more about the tile itself, its special features and how best to lay it.
After visiting our showroom, Tanja was able to make her choice. She chose the Zellige Blanc Poisson Echelles. This is a distinctive shape: a fish scale. These handmade tiles are made using authentic methods. Each tile is slightly different. This creates a unique and characterful look for both the tile and your interior.

you can tile it yourself

Tiling: you can do it yourself!

You can easily stick our Zelliges yourself. As these tiles are all slightly different, the tiling doesn’t have to be completely precise. This means that even without any experience, you can achieve a beautiful end result.
Tanja has a few tips to get you started with sticking the tiles:
1. By applying primer to the wall, you can be sure that the tiles will stay attached to it.
2. Zelliges are handmade. This can result in colour differences between tiles. Before sticking them, mix the colour nuances together to create a beautiful colour blend.
After the tiles were installed, Tanja’s kitchen had a completely new look. A great foundation for a beautiful kitchen! Together with the styling of her kitchen, the Zelliges create a harmonious and atmospheric whole.
