Spanish Tiles

Spanish tiles, a handmade explosion of colour

Did you notice those cheerful coloured tiles when you were on holiday in Spain? We sell those delightful squares, which are as colourful as the sun itself! Our factory in Spain ensures that every box contains a little bit of sunshine. At Designtegels, you will find not only the most beautiful colours but also the most unique shapes. Every year, we expand our collection with even more new shapes and colours, completely on trend, so that we always have plenty of choice in our showrooms. Or would you prefer a timeless tile for your kitchen or bathroom? There is plenty of choice: the square Azulejos, the rectangular Cabrera, the fish scale Escama or a cheerful hexagon shape in every colour you can imagine. Most are for walls, but some are even suitable for floors.

Handmade, with Spanish hands

Our tiles come from tile paradise Spain. The clay is first shaped into the correct form, a tablet, and then glazed and finished by hand. This results in unique tiles with lots of character. The hand-formed tiles have playful edges and are not finished in a sleek, straight manner, which is a distinctive feature of Spanish Azulejos, Cabrera and Manual tiles. The Metro tile, on the other hand, is a sleek tile, but it also comes from Spain and has been made there for centuries. In addition, we have factories that have their own production process. They create special shapes and follow trends, designing themselves and providing many new eye-catchers. Each factory has its own way of working, which is why we work with several factories. Which tile would suit your kitchen or bathroom?

Shapes and colours

The shapes and colours of Spanish tiles are endless! Do you have a favourite colour? Then Designtegels has it. From bright yellow to cognac, sea blue to bottle green. If there's one thing they're good at in Spain, it's creating the most beautiful colours. The finish can also vary, think matte, gloss, high gloss. Spanish tiles have a fixed colour but may vary slightly from one another. Are you going for a sleek look with our Metro [link to Metro] wall tile? These come in the classic 7.5 x 15 cm size. Or are you going for the hand-formed size in 10 x 10 cm, 7.5 x 30 cm or 7.5 x 15 cm? They are all available in all colours. The choice is endless. The trend is increasingly showing more unusual shapes and finishes. Think of terracotta, a corner tile or fish scales. Are you going for graphic, sleek, playful, soft or hard? Some of our Spanish tiles are strong enough to be used on the floor. This is clearly stated on our product page so that you can make an informed decision.
